Prop 36 has been helping people enter treatment and improve—and even save—their own lives since July 2001. Since then, over 60,000 Californians have completed drug treatment and had a good chance at recovery.

These are the stories of some of those people. If you would like to include your story, let us know by clicking on the "Submit Your Story" link above.

Meghan M.

I graduated from La Familia in February of 2008. It took me two tries to complete the program, but meth is a hard addiction to overcome. I wanted to change because I was pregnant and ready get my life back. This program gave me the opportunity, and support from my counselors and peers to regain trust and have a sober and productive life with my daughter. I have never felt happier.
